A definite hole in the wall type restaurant. Do not judge a book by its cover. My family has been coming here for as long as I can remember. Delicious food, and the sweetest owner.
I've been eating at Hong Kong my entire life. When they opened years ago, when I was just a kid, my entire extended family would get together and eat here. They'd set up a loooong table for us to all sit together and we would be here for hours. It was so much fun. The staff is so friendly. Their kids were kids when we were there and they enjoyed playing around the restaurant while their parents were working. It was great. Their egg rolls are my favorite. They're just cabbage I believe and I have no problems with that. The egg drop soup is also good. I remember all of my family members loving the soup. They also have chicken wings that are my favorite. They used to come in an order of 4 now I think there might only be 3 in an order, I could be wrong. It's a whole wing, drum and flat. They're fantastic. They are sticky and sort of sweet, almost have an orange taste to them. I am a huge fan. My favorite entree's are either beef and broccoli, kung pow chicken, mongolian beef, chicken in hoisin sauce or spicy fragrant pork. You can always tell them if you want any of them spicy or even really spicy. They can take the normal recipe and kick it up a level or two of spice for you, we usually do this. The building has been here for quite some time. I can agree with most of the complainers that the building is not as clean as it possibly could be. But they're doing something right because they pass health inspections. They do charge you a fee to use a credit card. I can't really blame them for that since they're being charged to have one. Be a good person and just pay with cash! Cash is king! Right!? So look past all of the haters and give Hong Kong your business. It's a great to go option on your way through town from work.
Don't usually leave reviews, but thought the one star reviews were far from fair. If you're looking for a family owned business who cares about their customers and has great food, I highly recommend. Stumble on this place a couple of years ago and have been going back ever since.
Excellent service. Comfortable atmosphere. Great food. First time trying egg drop soup...loved it! Learned business has been there for 33 years! GOOD for them. Hope to visit again soon!!!!!
despite me thinking this could possibly just be another hole in the wall chinese place, the food was absolutely incredible! It tasted so delicious and they give you a HUGE portion for the price. the food was also ready in less than 20 minutes from when i called it in, and the lady was so incredibly nice and sweet. amazing!
